This place is great and well run. Minacshee was my physical therapist. I’ve had knee issues over the last year and within 4 weeks Minacshee showed me the exercises I needed to do to strengthen my knees, hips and glutes. I currently have 0 knee issues and feel stronger than ever. I highly recommend her as well as this center!

Alvin has now fixed me twice, both times for shoulders. My left one he fixed in 2023 and the pain i’d been having was P T ‘d away.

I’ve been working with George at SoFloPT for the past two months for a shoulder injury and herniated discs in my back, and the experience has been excellent. George is extremely knowledgeable, attentive, and takes the time to explain the “why” behind each exercise and treatment. I went to SoFloPT for help with recovery from a calf and knee injury that occurred a while ago. I was nervous at first, but the friendly staff quickly made me feel at ease. I started PT here about 2 months ago with nothing but doubt in mind. I moved back to Florida from CT after a major hip injury/surgery. I was so nervous about my recovery being long because I’m an extremely active person. They set me up with Dr. Alvin Puri who has cared immensely for me. He has been working with me for almost 2 months now and I’m already back at the gym running again! My surgeon told me it would take a year until I could walk with no pain again and Dr. Alvin Puri has helped me recover faster than I would have ever thought. All thanks to him I am back to most of my normal activities and schedules. I couldn’t recommend him more!

I lost my balance and crashed into an unlocked glass door. I had tears in rotator cuff and a biceps head partial tear. Jessica on Se 8th St has worked with me, encouraging me, and keeping moving to more and more ability with my dominant arm. No surgery, just sweat and weights. My improvement has been off the charts, but I know complete recovery only comes with surgery and that’s not required to get me functional and then some. Highly recommended by my orthopedic doctor and I can see why!

SoFloPT rehab located near downtown Fort Lauderdale off of 9th street is a clean and has all the modern day equipment you need for a great workout. I came here for rehab after my total knee replacement surgery. Minacshee Augustin was my main physical therapist and I met with her two days after my surgery, and when I was still in a lot of pain. She was very knowledgeable in what exercises needed to be performed, good diet recommendations, and had a lot of experience dealing with patients like myself, who had just came out out of major knee surgery. I did my rehab for a full three months, 3 days per week, and was able to make solid strength gains, and almost 120° flexion in my knee. She always challenged me to try new exercises but did not rush me during this process. She was great at motivation and would help push you to achieve your goals.

I cannot recommend SoFlo Physical Therapy and my therapist Alvin enough. I came in after extensive shoulder surgery which severely affected my every day life. Alvin focused on individualized exercises that got me back to my activities about 7 weeks ahead of schedule. The staff is very professional. A special thank you to Alvin and his assistant Tory for all of their help getting my life back!!!

I've been to rehab PT at several places in Massachusetts and SoFlo PT has been better for its dynamic management of patients - everyone is there to help if you have any questions. That's a big plus to getting your repetitions in before its time to go home. You never have to wait to ask a question or discuss a concern or get set up for the next task. All the assigned tasks make sense as we experience improvement and look forward to "the next level" of strength building with more improvement. April 2025 A spinal cord surgery left me with S1damage from my lumbar to my toes on my right side. I showed up for my first appointment hobbling with a walker not sure if I would ever walk on my own again. I am so grateful and owe so much to these beautiful people at So Flo. I truly believe it is because of Hunter, her optimistic outlook and perseverance while working on my recovery enabled me to transition seamlessly from a walker to a cane to a limp and now less than a year later…I have my stride back. Hunter, Kristin and the entire So Flo staff are miracle workers and if I ever get married again, I told Hunter she is walking me down the aisle. The atmosphere at SoFlo is modern, light, upbeat and inspirational which for me made my recovery that much easier and enjoyable. 🩷

John and My second physical therapist was absolutely amazing.The front desk could use a bit more organization and they could be more attentive. The actual physical therapist are all amazing and very helpful. My experience was definitely a 97%. The 3% is due to the lack unattentiveness of the front desk.

My experience with SOFLO PT has been the best. My physical therapist is Dustin and his assistant Louis. I’ve been going since October of 2025. First, for knee strengthening before my knee surgery which helps me a lot before surgery. Now, during recovery from me finally getting my knee surgery I was able to walk and move without feeling weak or in extreme pain. They pushed me to my limits knowing that I will achieve my weekly goals. They are very attentive of what I need to work on or even correct the form. I definitely recommend Dustin for a physical therapist. My experience has been excellent.

I shattered my tibia and post surgery I was recommended to go to soflo pt. I was lucky enough to be paired up with Dustin and Louis! I first learned of the South Florida Physical Therapy from my back doctor who strongly suggested I see them. I had in the past had poor experiences with anything physical therapy - but I reluctantly went on the doctor’s advice. The doctor knew best and I am truly grateful for the care I received from SoFloPT. Kirstin drew the wrong straw and was saddled with me and my ailments. Bottom line - she did a magnificent job in structuring and demonstrating various stretching exercises - to this notoriously negligent stretcher - that’s taught me to continually maintain these stretches for the remainder of my life. Kirstin was personable and professional, and I’m grateful to have met her.

I'm not one to take the time to write a review, but I was compelled to do so I can help others that may be suffering by sharing a wonderful experience at the South Florida Therapeutic Center.

I had a back fusion of L3-S1 and never thought I would be able to bend over again and work out. I started physical therapy with Ali and initially couldn't even stand on one leg for even a few seconds, totally lopsided along with a constant knee ache.

I'm happy to say I have never felt SO strong and can now stand on one leg on the Bosu ball apparatus for an extended period of time and my knee no longer hurts...AMAZING !!

My back is doing great and physical therapy has saved me from no longer requiring any injections to remove the pain.

I went to SoFlo PT for physical therapy following rotator cuff surgery. My experience was excellent and thanks to Dr. Hunter Thompson expertise and guidance my recovery was successful. Hunter facilitated home exercises electronically and in print which were key to my recovery as well. The initial and subsequent assessments were thorough which kept me informed so feel free to ask questions and express your concerns as they will be addressed. In addition to Hunter’s great care, the facility is kept pristine clean and all the other Drs. and staff members are very friendly and ready to help.

My experience at SoFloPT REHAB NORTH has been excellent results and restored confidence. Under the careful direction of Dr. Hunter Thompson and the team, I was given a personal program for my specific back issues while recovering from 2 surgical procedures. I was amazed the stiffness and discomfort in my back has disappeared. I am so grateful for the instruction and guidance because it has given me complete relief. Also the fear of moving and exercising with these

I came to Dr. Kirsten Little for neck pain from a mild C4–C5 misalignment and later for chronic knee pain caused by early chondropathy under the kneecap. In just a few sessions, my neck improved dramatically thanks to her hands-on techniques, personalized exercises, and clear explanations.

When we moved on to my knee, she took a completely different and very thoughtful approach focused on hip alignment, something no other PT had done before. She’s professional, empathetic, and motivating, and she pushes you to do your best while always making you feel supported.

I’ve seen several physical therapists over the years, and Dr. Little is by far the best, knowledgeable, caring, and deeply committed to helping her patients recover. Highly recommended.

First and foremost, I want to thank Dr. Hunter Thompson and the entire team at SoFlo PT. They are an exceptionally knowledgeable and caring group. Facilities:
The “Rehab North” location is spotless and well organized. All shared equipment—machines, tables, free weights, etc.—is thoroughly cleaned after every use.

Physical Therapy:
I was impressed that SoFlo PT was able to schedule my first appointment within just a few days. That quick start made a real difference, since my vertigo was beginning to interfere with daily life.

My case was assigned to Dr. Hunter Thompson. With her expertise and hands-on approach, she evaluated my condition and designed a treatment plan that included the Epley maneuver, balance exercises, and light resistance training. Each session was carefully tailored to my progress, and I noticed a major improvement in my balance after only a couple of visits.

The Good News:
Today (09/25/25), I “graduated” from my PT program! I’ve made tremendous progress, and the difference in my daily life is remarkable.

Final Thoughts:
Overall, I couldn’t be happier with the care and results I received. I highly recommend SoFlo PT to anyone in need of physical therapy.
