April 2025 A spinal cord surgery left me with S1damage from my lumbar to my toes on my right side. I showed up for my first appointment hobbling with a walker not sure if I would ever walk on my own again. I am so grateful and owe so much to these beautiful people at So Flo. I truly believe it is because of Hunter, her optimistic outlook and perseverance while working on my recovery enabled me to transition seamlessly from a walker to a cane to a limp and now less than a year later…I have my stride back. Hunter, Kristin and the entire So Flo staff are miracle workers and if I ever get married again, I told Hunter she is walking me down the aisle. The atmosphere at SoFlo is modern, light, upbeat and inspirational which for me made my recovery that much easier and enjoyable. 🩷

The actual physical therapist are all amazing and very helpful. My experience was definitely a 97%. The 3% is due to the lack unattentiveness of the front desk.

He works on my neck very gently and also has me doing targeted exercises to train it and make it stronger. I feel well cared for and confident in his approach. My experience with SOFLO PT has been the best. My physical therapist is Dustin and his assistant Louis. I’ve been going since October of 2025. First, for knee strengthening before my knee surgery which helps me a lot before surgery. Now, during recovery from me finally getting my knee surgery I was able to walk and move without feeling weak or in extreme pain. They pushed me to my limits knowing that I will achieve my weekly goals. They are very attentive of what I need to work on or even correct the form. I definitely recommend Dustin for a physical therapist. My experience has been excellent.

When I first came to South Florida PT I was in terrible pain with my lower back and my left arm after two weeks. The pain was almost all and I am coming back since then I bounce is better by walking is better I have to thank Hunter for helping me come to this point. I first learned of the South Florida Physical Therapy from my back doctor who strongly suggested I see them. I had in the past had poor experiences with anything physical therapy - but I reluctantly went on the doctor’s advice. The doctor knew best and I am truly grateful for the care I received from SoFloPT. Kirstin drew the wrong straw and was saddled with me and my ailments. Bottom line - she did a magnificent job in structuring and demonstrating various stretching exercises - to this notoriously negligent stretcher - that’s taught me to continually maintain these stretches for the remainder of my life. Kirstin was personable and professional, and I’m grateful to have met her.

I went to SoFlo PT for physical therapy following rotator cuff surgery. My experience was excellent and thanks to Dr. Hunter Thompson expertise and guidance my recovery was successful. Hunter facilitated home exercises electronically and in print which were key to my recovery as well. The initial and subsequent assessments were thorough which kept me informed so feel free to ask questions and express your concerns as they will be addressed. In addition to Hunter’s great care, the facility is kept pristine clean and all the other Drs. and staff members are very friendly and ready to help.

The location at SoFlo PT located at 6000 N Federal Highway in fort lauderdale is every bit as wonderful as the other locations. Having received care at the 3rd Ave location years ago, I knew i would be in great care at this newer location, as I can't drive due to shoulder surgery. Forgive me if I can't remember all the names of those I have been in contact with as this was my 1st week there. My first contact was Dr. Hunter Thompson. She was very professional, knowledgeable and efficient. She went above and beyond in finding information regarding insurance info and got back to me very quickly. She is now my PT and an excellent one as well. I have complete trust and confidence in her knowledge and skill set as a clinician. From Julisa( sorry if I spelled it wrong) and the insurance lady who i can't remember her name, and to Dr. Kirsten, who cares and takes an interest in all clients, not just her own. The whole process has been great thus far and I am looking forward to the journey with Dr. Hunter in restoring my health, allowing me to get back to the activities I enjoy .

I’ve been to several physical therapy companies for various rehabs. By far, the best, most comprehensive and knowledgeable staff, is at SoFlo PT. The facilities are spotless. Even though there may be more than one patient being seen by your therapist, their detailed attention makes you feel as if you are the only patient. The entire staff works in tandem making sure you are engaging the proper muscles, using good form, and maintaining safety precautions. The mood is always upbeat, encouraging, and positive — which is essential when one is recovering from a painful surgery. I’ve had the good fortune of working with Jess, who has made me feel so comfortable and in such good and experienced hands. It’s great walking in and being welcomed by name by literally the whole staff. It truly feels like one big family and SoFlo makes the chore of difficult rehabilitation into a fun activity I look forward to.

I came to Dr. Kirsten Little for neck pain from a mild C4–C5 misalignment and later for chronic knee pain caused by early chondropathy under the kneecap. In just a few sessions, my neck improved dramatically thanks to her hands-on techniques, personalized exercises, and clear explanations.When we moved on to my knee, she took a completely different and very thoughtful approach focused on hip alignment, something no other PT had done before. Very good experience with Alvin. Pain in your feet is very difficult to figure it all out, but Alvin did a great job and giving me the guidance I needed for Exercize and resolving the pain so I could still play pickle ball.

I’ve been having post surgery physical therapy at So Flo in Fort Lauderdale with Dr. Alison Blixt and her Team From a reverse shoulder replacement. Following a rotator cuff surgery performed at Holy Cross, my surgeon's office highly recommended I follow their prescribed rehab protocol with the team at SoFloPT Rehab North. I met with Kirsten a couple of weeks after my surgery and we were off on a very successful 13-week journey to get from having a wimpy and sore T-Rex arm to now enjoying near full range of motion and building back strength without pain.This was my second rotator cuff surgery and rehab, following the other arm going kaput nine years ago, and I could not have been more impressed with Kirsten and her approach to getting my arm back in action. She listened to my concerns, answered all my questions and then tailored our time together to steadily improve session after session. Some things I could do well right from the start and others took much more effort, but Kirsten spent our time where it was needed most and by the end my arm felt and moved nearly as good as before. I still have 3 months of healing and strength building to go, but Kirsten set me up to have a full recovery and even though I am not going to any further PT sessions, Kirsten gave me plenty to work on along with some sound counsel to avoid messing up my arm again.I hope I don't rip up my shoulder again, but if I do, I would not hesitate to go back to SoFloPT to get things right. Their facility is clean, bright and full of new equipment. Everyone there was friendly and dedicated to making sure the sessions ran on time and were productive. Coming back from a surgery and signing up for 13 weeks of PT is a big commitment, but the time flew by and the end result is definitely worth it.
