I went to SoFloPT for help with recovery from a calf and knee injury that occurred a while ago. I was nervous at first, but the friendly staff quickly made me feel at ease. The facility is immaculate, and everyone there is kind and very professional. I specifically work with Dr. Minacshee Augustin. I cannot recommend her highly enough! She is amazing. She really took the time to listen to me about my injuries, symptoms and concerns. Her guidance for my PT routine was well thought out. I’ve been following her instructions every week and I literally have felt better every day since the first day I met with her. Definitely come here if you’re looking for a quality PT experience.

I started PT here about 2 months ago with nothing but doubt in mind. I moved back to Florida from CT after a major hip injury/surgery. I was so nervous about my recovery being long because I’m an extremely active person. They set me up with Dr. Alvin Puri who has cared immensely for me. He has been working with me for almost 2 months now and I’m already back at the gym running again! My surgeon told me it would take a year until I could walk with no pain again and Dr. Alvin Puri has helped me recover faster than I would have ever thought. All thanks to him I am back to most of my normal activities and schedules. I couldn’t recommend him more!

I lost my balance and crashed into an unlocked glass door. I had tears in rotator cuff and a biceps head partial tear. Jessica on Se 8th St has worked with me, encouraging me, and keeping moving to more and more ability with my dominant arm. No surgery, just sweat and weights. My improvement has been off the charts, but I know complete recovery only comes with surgery and that’s not required to get me functional and then some. Highly recommended by my orthopedic doctor and I can see why!

SoFloPT rehab located near downtown Fort Lauderdale off of 9th street is a clean and has all the modern day equipment you need for a great workout. I came here for rehab after my total knee replacement surgery. Minacshee Augustin was my main physical therapist and I met with her two days after my surgery, and when I was still in a lot of pain. She was very knowledgeable in what exercises needed to be performed, good diet recommendations, and had a lot of experience dealing with patients like myself, who had just came out out of major knee surgery. I did my rehab for a full three months, 3 days per week, and was able to make solid strength gains, and almost 120° flexion in my knee. She always challenged me to try new exercises but did not rush me during this process. She was great at motivation and would help push you to achieve your goals.

I cannot recommend SoFlo Physical Therapy and my therapist Alvin enough. I came in after extensive shoulder surgery which severely affected my every day life. Alvin focused on individualized exercises that got me back to my activities about 7 weeks ahead of schedule. The staff is very professional. I've been to rehab PT at several places in Massachusetts and SoFlo PT has been better for its dynamic management of patients - everyone is there to help if you have any questions. That's a big plus to getting your repetitions in before its time to go home. You never have to wait to ask a question or discuss a concern or get set up for the next task. All the assigned tasks make sense as we experience improvement and look forward to "the next level" of strength building with more improvement. They are also very understanding about what you are going through from pain, to setbacks, and conflicting medical appointments that come up. They are very good at 'watching your back.' I am grateful to Dr. Jessica Jones, DPT, CPT for her superb personal guidance as she watches out for me during my PT sessions. April 2025 A spinal cord surgery left me with S1damage from my lumbar to my toes on my right side. I showed up for my first appointment hobbling with a walker not sure if I would ever walk on my own again. I am so grateful and owe so much to these beautiful people at So Flo. I truly believe it is because of Hunter, her optimistic outlook and perseverance while working on my recovery enabled me to transition seamlessly from a walker to a cane to a limp and now less than a year later…I have my stride back. Hunter, Kristin and the entire So Flo staff are miracle workers and if I ever get married again, I told Hunter she is walking me down the aisle. The atmosphere at SoFlo is modern, light, upbeat and inspirational which for me made my recovery that much easier and enjoyable. 🩷

John and My second physical therapist was absolutely amazing.The front desk could use a bit more organization and they could be more attentive. The actual physical therapist are all amazing and very helpful. My experience was definitely a 97%. The 3% is due to the lack unattentiveness of the front desk.

SoFloPT helped me quite a bit with my back pain. Both Madison and Jessica are great when it comes to emphasizing the importance of keeping the right posture in everything you do. My experience with SOFLO PT has been the best. My physical therapist is Dustin and his assistant Louis. I’ve been going since October of 2025. First, for knee strengthening before my knee surgery which helps me a lot before surgery. Now, during recovery from me finally getting my knee surgery I was able to walk and move without feeling weak or in extreme pain. They pushed me to my limits knowing that I will achieve my weekly goals. They are very attentive of what I need to work on or even correct the form. I definitely recommend Dustin for a physical therapist. My experience has been excellent.

I shattered my tibia and post surgery I was recommended to go to soflo pt. I was lucky enough to be paired up with Dustin and Louis! This was my first time in a physical therapy setting and it’s been such a great experience. Dustin has a lot of patience and is very client focused. He is always listening to my concerns but finding a way to make PT fun so I can go back to being my athletic self. He’s always there with a smiling face and positive attitude. I’m happy to say after 12 weeks not walking, I am able to run and jump again. They have the latest technology like leg compression and BFR therapy that really help improve the progress of my ankle. When I first came to South Florida PT I was in terrible pain with my lower back and my left arm after two weeks. The pain was almost all and I am coming back since then I bounce is better by walking is better I have to thank Hunter for helping me come to this point. She has been wonderful showing like showing me what exercises I need to do to get better. I can’t tell you how much the difference is since I started there and I owe it all to Hunter and the rest of the girls.

I first learned of the South Florida Physical Therapy from my back doctor who strongly suggested I see them. I had in the past had poor experiences with anything physical therapy - but I reluctantly went on the doctor’s advice. The doctor knew best and I am truly grateful for the care I received from SoFloPT. Kirstin drew the wrong straw and was saddled with me and my ailments. Bottom line - she did a magnificent job in structuring and demonstrating various stretching exercises - to this notoriously negligent stretcher - that’s taught me to continually maintain these stretches for the remainder of my life. Kirstin was personable and professional, and I’m grateful to have met her.

I started physical therapy with Ali and initially couldn't even stand on one leg for even a few seconds, totally lopsided along with a constant knee ache.I'm happy to say I have never felt SO strong and can now stand on one leg on the Bosu ball apparatus for an extended period of time and my knee no longer hurts...AMAZING !!My back is doing great and physical therapy has saved me from no longer requiring any injections to remove the pain.

I went to SoFlo PT for physical therapy following rotator cuff surgery. My experience was excellent and thanks to Dr. Hunter Thompson expertise and guidance my recovery was successful. Hunter facilitated home exercises electronically and in print which were key to my recovery as well. The initial and subsequent assessments were thorough which kept me informed so feel free to ask questions and express your concerns as they will be addressed. In addition to Hunter’s great care, the facility is kept pristine clean and all the other Drs. and staff members are very friendly and ready to help.

The location at SoFlo PT located at 6000 N Federal Highway in fort lauderdale is every bit as wonderful as the other locations. Having received care at the 3rd Ave location years ago, I knew i would be in great care at this newer location, as I can't drive due to shoulder surgery. Forgive me if I can't remember all the names of those I have been in contact with as this was my 1st week there. My first contact was Dr. Hunter Thompson. She was very professional, knowledgeable and efficient. She went above and beyond in finding information regarding insurance info and got back to me very quickly. She is now my PT and an excellent one as well. I have complete trust and confidence in her knowledge and skill set as a clinician. From Julisa( sorry if I spelled it wrong) and the insurance lady who i can't remember her name, and to Dr. Kirsten, who cares and takes an interest in all clients, not just her own. The whole process has been great thus far and I am looking forward to the journey with Dr. Hunter in restoring my health, allowing me to get back to the activities I enjoy .

I’ve been to several physical therapy companies for various rehabs. By far, the best, most comprehensive and knowledgeable staff, is at SoFlo PT. The facilities are spotless. Even though there may be more than one patient being seen by your therapist, their detailed attention makes you feel as if you are the only patient. The entire staff works in tandem making sure you are engaging the proper muscles, using good form, and maintaining safety precautions. The mood is always upbeat, encouraging, and positive — which is essential when one is recovering from a painful surgery. I’ve had the good fortune of working with Jess, who has made me feel so comfortable and in such good and experienced hands. I have had great success with the care by Jessica Jones and the other staff members. Jessica is very hands on, attentive and knowledgeable and has communicated my plan at every step; and adjusted exercises depending on my progress or set backs. She is top notch!

My experience at SoFloPT REHAB NORTH has been excellent results and restored confidence. Under the careful direction of Dr. Hunter Thompson and the team, I was given a personal program for my specific back issues while recovering from 2 surgical procedures. I came to Dr. Kirsten Little for neck pain from a mild C4–C5 misalignment and later for chronic knee pain caused by early chondropathy under the kneecap. In just a few sessions, my neck improved dramatically thanks to her hands-on techniques, personalized exercises, and clear explanations.When we moved on to my knee, she took a completely different and very thoughtful approach focused on hip alignment, something no other PT had done before. Very good experience with Alvin. Pain in your feet is very difficult to figure it all out, but Alvin did a great job and giving me the guidance I needed for Exercize and resolving the pain so I could still play pickle ball.
