Dr. Cortazar was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She’s been very active since a young age, enjoying hobbies such as fishing, boating, diving, kiteboarding, dance, archery, and hunting. She started dancing at the young age of three, performing various styles namely ballroom dancing, and has always remained very healthy and fit for dancing and modeling. From 2013 to 2018, she cheered for the NFL’s Miami Dolphins. As a five-year veteran and captain of the team, she traveled around the world for military tours with the organization. She currently works out on a regular basis partaking in weight training, HIIT, running, GVTs, yoga, and dance fitness classes. Dr. Cortazar decided to pursue physical therapy after partaking in a part-time job at a physical therapy clinic during undergraduate school.

As a physical therapist, Dr. Cortazar has thoroughly enjoyed listening carefully to patients, observing movements, and developing individualized treatment plans that establish clear goals and outcomes. For her, dedicating her career to physical therapy allows her to live a life that she is passionate about. She is able to continue and share all her experiences with fitness, dance, nutrition, and overall healthy living with others.

She lives a life full of health and wellness, and is driven to help people improve movement and manage pain after injuries, illnesses, or surgeries.

Dr. Britt Cortazar graduated from Florida International University in 2017 with her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and in 2021 with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She’s continued her education since, receiving her manual therapy certification from the Florida Institute of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy.
